I believe this is is based off the Solstice, but I thought it was going to be the "Lightning"

Anyone know what Ford's showing? New Cobra Mustang? I also have heard GM may have something else 'top secret' there..anyone...

Good god, that 2006 Z06 is going to be a monster. What's the price tag on one of those?

Hope for 60k. Considering a Z51 equipped C6 is about 54k I hope it's not too much more then 60.

Rumors are floating around that the new C6R graemlins/nod.gif will be at Detroit alongside the Z06 to demonstrate the similarities (at least styling) between the production and the racing cars.

See spy shot HERE

In addition, I believe that the actual HP rating is 512 for the Z06. Still unsure of engine size, most claim 7.0 litres, others 6.3 or 6.4...

Also, the 625HP "Blue Devil" Corvette graemlins/nod.gif is currently under development, but I don't know of release dates...

Apparently, that is a GM rendering of a Z06, so not a real car, nor a photochop of one, either. The image has been ordered to be removed from many websites by GM including Z06vettes.com and digitalcorvettes.com, but the leak is so far gone now, it's out.

The real thing? Some speculate a purposeful leak of a false rendering by GM to generate feedback on specialist forums such as the above, but I don't think I buy the conspiracy theories. We'll know soon enough, though.

In addition, from good authority, that rendering is very close to the actual car, with the front end being "dead on." However, it is stated that the color hides the aggressiveness of the body lines, and the most appropriate description is "a C6 on massive steriods." graemlins/nod.gif

Engine size was almost definatively proven to be 7.0L with the spy shots of the Speed World Challenge CTS-V engines. There have been two leaked engine sizes and there is a good reason for that, but take the newest evidence into account.

Also, last I heard the Blue Devil was cancelled.

As to the Blue Devil, I trust this authority:

http://www.digitalcorvettes.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=26796&perpage=20&highlight=blue%20devil&pagenumber=1

According to him, testing is in progress...

And in the same post, confirmation of 7.0L... I did see the spy pics of the CTS-V engine, but didn't want to jump to conclusions as C5R also had 7.0, but production had 5.7.

I'm damn pleased on both fronts graemlins/nod.gif
