You couldn't be more wrong about Zaino. Zaino has basically 2 products. One polish that fills in swirl marks and one that's basically just the polish, but you can use either and it will polish your car. NXT might be two weeks of protection while Zaino is proven months/years of protection, depending on how many coats you have applied. And that $80 buys a lot of stuff. I'm still on the original polish bottles I bought 3 years ago! The only thing I've had to order is more car wash and some gloss enhancer. I've got anywhere between 30 - 50 coats of Zaino polish on my Formula and it looks amazing. While white is hard to see swirl marks, you can see them if you get down and let the light hit the car right. My car has no swirl marks. I've been told it glows it's so white. :D When I do get caught in the rain and get dirt/road crap on the car, a simple wash and it comes right off.

People think Zaino takes so much effort, but it really doesn't. The only thing that's hard is the first time you use it. You have to do exactly what it says. Set aside anywhere between 4 - 8 hours to do it right. Most of that is washing the car (once with Dawn/Joy to get the current polish off of the car and then with the Zaino car wash) and using the claybar to get the dirt/spots/tar off of your car that the washing couldn't get off. After that, you just put polish on, let it dry, and take it off with a 100% cotton towel. You also have to spend the money on the right towels, otherwise what you use to dry your car off can be adding more swirl marks to it. Hell, unlike wax, you can do it in direct sunlight. I hardly ever polish my car anymore, it's got so much polish on it. Just a wash, slight touch up with the claybar, and some gloss enhancer to really bring out the shine.

I'm sure there is nothing wrong with NXT, but it's not even in the same ballpark as Zaino. This stuff goes up against anything on the market and wins everytime. Even both of the detailers that I know of on this site (AudiOn19's and Shawn) use Zaino. No offense, but something that offers two weeks of protection doesn't even come close to the protection that Zaino does... graemlins/thumb.gif

NXT > Zaino.

I spent around $55 or so for my Zaino. ZFX (curing agent), Z-2 (polish), and Z-6 (gloss enhancer, etc). I bought the claybar from Advance auto (meguiars).

Yeah, I could have gotten that shine from off the shelf stuff (hell, Zymol worked for me for a few years).

However, I wanted something that will last. I only put two coats on when I first got it. Two months later, it's still beading up and looks brand new (after about 20+ car washes).

I could have used Zymol or any off the shelf product, but it'll within a month and I really didn't feel like spending 4+ hours once a month slapping polish/wax on the car.

To each their own.. but I'll stick with Zaino now smile.gif .

That always amazes me, black is by far the best color to use Zaino with. It makes black cars not look black anymore, it makes them look like a mirror! That is the second pic I have seen of a black car that doesn't look black.

I have used Zaino for 1 1/2 years now and it is the bomb. I use 1 coat of z5 and 1 coat of Z2 both mixed with ZFX and 2 inbetween coats of z6 every 3 months just because the car get better looking. I did dawn, claybar and mix of zaino carwash and water, then Zaino wash again, then Z5/FFX, Z6, Z2/ZFX, Z6, Z2/ZFX, and finaly z6 again on the old lady's Platnum Silver Metalic WRX and it made it shine better than when we took delivery of it in 03! This was the first time I put it on the old lady's wagon. From here on out it is a 1-2 hour job.

Just NXT won't do the trick, you will still need to clay the car first, use some sort of cleaner wax, then a swirl remover, THEN use NXT then top it off with a good carnuba wax.. I use Zaino and pretty happy with the results. I am, however, going to switch to NXT and the moose wax products once I am out to try something different.

I have always been a Meguires guy, but recently was talked into spending a few extra bucks on the Zaino products. I am impressed and will probably never go back.

Those are of a 92 Eclipse "manufacturing date of Sept 91 and 154,125 on the odometer" and it never shined like that with Meguires. I did the clay bar then Z1, Z5, Z2, and another coat of Z2. I think it looks great for what it is.
