88lx5oh
i ahve an 88 lx 5.0 mustang, and im gonna get a gear, but i dont know what to get.. either 3.73s or 4.10s it will be my fun car, and i have a beater to drive so gas milage is no concern, what is my best bet... top end isnt really important, but i want enough to be competitive. CobraKevin
Get the 4.10's. From all of the threads I've read on Mustang boards about that very decision between the two, nobody who went with the 4.10's regretted it. I have 4.56's in mine, but a 6800 redline, so most people who have a 5800 redline (the newer GT's) always go with the 4.10's. If you get 3.73's, the first time you get beat off the line by someone, you'll ask yourself "why didn't I go with the 4.10's?" Don't pheer the gear! By the way, Fowler. Did you get your gears in? PonyPimpstress1647545491
4.10s..... you know you want your car to be a beast!!! Serious though. If you want to ride in a car with 4.10s you can always hop in mine! if fowler is gettin 3.73s then you can compare kinda off the line! Boost-n-Juice
I've had both and by far 373's are better on a 5.0 with stock heads. With 410's you'll be in and out of your hp curve way too quick. The stock cam in a 5.0 is dead @ 5,500 rpms. I have 373's in my car and I can't hook in 1st and 2nd gear. What would more gear do for you? Just my 2 cents. If you have an AOD, then 410 or 430's all the way.
