Buck531
I'm pondering the thought of getting new springs for my Lumina. Anyone here willing to install them and re-align the car? How much? I'm not replacing the struts yet.. just the springs. Either PM me or IM me at Bucky531. Guest badmuthrfkr
I can get your springs done for about $80 and alignment will probably be $30-$35.

Buck531
Cool, I'll have to let you know. I can get Eibachs for $240 for 4 of them. I'll let you know after I get my tax money what I'll be doing. I just wanted to get an estimate on the pricing. Thanks Hua.

I suggest doing a regular lowering spring with Koni Sports. [ 13 February 2002: Message edited by: badmuthrfkr ]
Buck531
Well, how much for Eibachs for my Lumina then? Could you beat $240? smile.gif
Doug1647545489
I suggest you get some struts.. DO they make KYB's for your car. There only 50 bucks a piece. If your struts are shot your ride will be really bouncy and if there arn't they will be soon because of the high spring rate. Scotty2Hotty
I was gonna say if you're doing it yourself than I have a spring compressor someplace I may have someone on the westiside that will do it. It's called Extreme automotive, they do good work, and Ido suggest struts they work miracles. Peace-S
Guest badmuthrfkr
Eibach doesn't make a lowering spring for you Lumina, unless you obtained a cross reference somewhere stating you can use the same springs off of a Monte Carlo or Malibu. Buck531
Well, I talked to a guy who put them on his Monte. They should be the same if I'm not mistaken. I can look into it though. So.. what is the price for the Monte if they do fit? smile.gif

Doug1647545489
GM makes POS struts. Mine were shot at 35k. And if they arn't the increased spring rate will wear them out pretty quickly.

Mr. Jones
LOL Yeah..that's the best idea. Just cut your stock springs and then..totally remove your bumbstops while your at it.. Should be a great ride try to aim for speedbumps

Clifford Automotive
whoooooaaaaaa sorry I forgot the little face, and a jk...but it looks like all you guys think cutting springs makes your car ride like shit, well thats not true, i got a buddy that cut is springs on his mustang..i would bet that it could out handle a lot of the cats here, not starting a flame, but it is one hell of a ride, it doesnt bounce a lot it feel like a noramlly lowered ride, of and just to add about the shcok comment, when you drop a car its not always necessary to put new shocks on...
