anyone know anything about indiglo?

here's what I have:

each side blinks with the turn signal. Basically got bored, had a couple LEDs and some wire.

 

I just obtained a 56 Thunderbird emblem:

Despite looking black in the pics, its all chrome accept for the blue, which is clear plastic, with the back painted blue and "Thunderbird" in chrome letters set into it. I could strip the blue paint, and slip some indiglo behind it. It would be blue when off, just like it is in the pic, and a soft blue glow when on.

 

Now, how deos indiglo work? All I know is "it glows", never seen it out of a car. Hows the wireing, etc?

Where can I get a 5"x1/2" strip of indiglo? If none exist, can the stuff be manipulated? I.E. get a cheap indiglo gauge and cut it up?
