Forest Gump's vietnam scene sent my father into a flash back, so did Apocalypse Now and Full Metal Jacket.

 

You need to be a bit more specific about what kind of war movie. I personally can watch any submarine movie but I love the old WWII Navy movies. Branch of service and War would help.

 

Red Dawn is kick ass too.

American History X isnt a war movie

yeah i know...but it gives everyone an idea of what he likes...i think his movies are gross personal but i do gotta watch them with him most of the time
