Buck531
Like the title says. What is need to run a picture/movie from your Computer to a TV. Video cards have a video out. What's it used for. And what about the sound? I take it it would run though your PC speakers?

I was just hoping like when I watch a DVD on my PC I could watch it on the TV instead of the monitor.
JaSSon
My video card has a video out that i can use to plug into a RCA input on a tv. For sound I either use the computer speakers, or connect the sound card to the tv/stereo by purchasing an adaptor.
fush
It should be pretty easy. Some cards only do overlay on the tv and not full tv out so you may need to play with some driver settings. Like my laptop only has overlay so I turn overlay on and pull up the app and it will dipslay on my tv. Works well though.

Is it all pixelated and crap or does it have a decent pic.

Depends on the resolution. Since TV's have such a low resolution, it's really only practical for playing video, which (depending on quality of the recording) usually looks good. When not viewing video i can only see about 1/4 of my desktop on the screen, but it overlays automatically. i can even watch a video on the tv and do something completely different on my computer, like surf the internet or use aim.
