Need local RX-7 rotary help

Hello,

I'm having trouble and cannot get my car started.

I crank the car and it gets to about 800-1000 rpm, and it immediately dies. It may be a fuel issue, not 100% sure. I dont think its an actual motor issue, because the car actually almost starts, but then instead of idling after the cranking, it just falls flat on its face.

I am located on OSU campus.

I can give beer/money whatever

If he offers to put anything in your pocket, decline. :p

Does the car sit alot?

I just drove it Monday night (less than 2 days ago)

I.e. has it been sitting for a long period of time? Can you keep it alive by giving it throttle?

No, hitting the gas does pretty much the same thing as no pedal.. just fires right up and falls on its face :(

Have you done any aftermarket mods to it? I had the same problem when I got my sinegle turb conversion. It was a ecu air-fuel and vaccuum hose problem. Yes both of them. If you can get a hold of a shop manual and try to see if you can fix it. RX-7 store (http://www.rx7store.net) is over in hilliard. They might be able to do a free diagnostic for you to see whats up. If not, check out Rotary Warehouse (http://www.rotarywarehouse.com) and talk to Scott. He might be able to offer advice.

Kurt
