He was one of my fraternity brothers. I helped bring him into the place. He was one of those guys that just loved life and lived it to it's fullest. There are a lot of people who are missing a small piece of their hearts because he is gone. One of the saddest funerals I've ever been to. No family should ever have to go through that.

Brain gets used to fuctioning under the influance of alcohol. When you remove the alcohol, the nurons are so used to working with a depresant in the system they go into overdrive without the alcohol present, and start causing seizures and other bad stuff (drunk shakes)

Usually it only gets bad in people that have spent a few decades under the bottle, not this young. Hopefully his family is recovering from this loss without causing more pain within.

I saw something on Discovery Health a while ago about this kind of thing happening. But their examples were all long-term, heavy drinkers that stop cold turkey.
