ATTN CR: Help us have a Norwalk Day!

To have this event, we need at least 60 people registered to break even. I'm asking CR members to post our event on other forums they they visit, to get the word out and make this happen!

Currently, we have 20 people registered, and need more participation to have the event. Please start a thread on other automotive forums you visit, announcing this. I also ask that you please post a link in this thread to your topic so it can be tracked. Please copy and paste the following in your thread:

LOCATION:

Norwalk Raceway Park, Norwalk, Ohio (near Cleveland)

DATE AND TIMES:

Friday, September 29th, 2006

10am to 4pm

EVENT PRICES:

Driver - $30

Spectator - $5

*Be sure to include your full name and year/make/model of your vehicle in the additional comments box*

DETAILS:

-Up to 90 cars, MAX

-Track prepped with VHT to the 330', then to the 100' after lunch

-Norwalk provides EMT services, tower personnel, and time shack attendant

-ColumbusRacing.com provides personnel for the staging lanes, water box, tree, and tech-in

-Track clean-up for someone breaking is $100-200 EXTRA, per incident

-No brackets allowed, only heads-up racing

-One lane for slicks/drag radials, other lane for street radials/drag radials

-IHRA rules apply, some leeway is granted since we're doing tech

The fees are to be paid up front by ColumbusRacing.com. This means all entrance fees for racing and/or spectators will be UP FRONT to reserve your spot, and to be paid well in advance of the track day so we can attend to the reservations if needed.

-Fees will be $30 per vehicle/$5 per spectator. Fees MAY be increased if we only have 60 vehicles register, as this will allow ColumbusRacing.com to break even, and no more.

-Fees will be non-refundable unless the date is canceled by ColumbusRacing.com due to inclement weather.

-There may be a 50/50 raffle, depending on finances.

-Vehicles racing and people spectating will be marked as such that they're paid so everyone is treated fairly for their entrance fees. Details will only be announced at the track the day of the event.

This is now open to the general public, but only the first 90 vehicles registered AND PAID will be admitted and considered "on the list" that will be made presentable after we get things rolling. Same goes with the spectator list. You show up on the day and are not on either list, unless we have spots open, you will be turned away at the gate by CR and Norwalk. Spectators are welcome the day of the event at the gate. No exceptions.

It's a Dayton-based messageboard. However, I doubt many from there will attend; they have Norwalk rented out for September 25th. Just the same, though, there may be some who couldn't make it that day, so I figured it was worth the post.
