dragknee66
I know this is a long shot... but is there any where LOCALLY in columbus I can find a window tint meter? It would be easier to pick one up then have one shipped I suppose.
wnaplay1647545503
Doesnt the force provide something like that for you?
dragknee66
Nah, its one of those buy your own things
Bam
Why do you care if you have one? I mean its pretty easy to tell if tint is legal or not, does "the force" require you to have a specific percentage?
dragknee66
Easy to get things dismissed without solid proof and not "It looked illegal to me"
evan9381
holy shit...i cant believe they dont give you one for the job well, i guess we know which cops like their job way too much

Cougar1647545494
Window tint tickets are attitude tickets That's good to hear. My main reason was the stupid SUV's with the HID's that tail gate you no matter what lane you're in.
ttemper
You should be able to find one cheap, John. A lot of departments down my way have them, but they're rarely used. If you call around to different departments i'm sure you could buy one.
RangerTurbo
Window tint tickets are attitude tickets must be why i only got a warning when i got pulled over in Gahanna for my tint... was nice and cooperative... he just said "next time ill have to ticket you, but have a nice day" still havent removed my tint
Mojoe
John, seriously; posting on here about where to get something to give people more tickets? For the most part, any tint that looks good is illigal. I don't want you finding a deal on some tint meter and then telling your buddies on the force where to get one. You may only want to get the extream dark tint(hoping), but some cops will get you for anything. You know I like you John, but Please don't encourage your co-workers to get what you are looking for. BTW, we need to go play pool sometime so you can tell me exactly how many laws my car is breaking and catch up.
evan9381
Window tint tickets are attitude tickets not always...i got pulled over in westerville for my tint, and my tint only. i was actually only doing 43mph in a 45, didnt do any illegal lane changes, nothing. he came to the window with his meter and asked if i'd been pulled over for it before

Edit: John PM Sawbinder I think he got his locally.
mrblunt
IMHO equipment violations such as window tint are just f'n revenue builders. You can rant about the safety of officers but if it was REALLY the concern then you'd make the offender get the shit removed. Not busting your balls John just this stupid ass law all together. There are plenty of good people who have window tint, expecially those people with kids. Leave it to some ass wipe to f it up for the rest. I'll openly admit i'm to lazy to look it up and since we're on topic i'll just ask. Do the rear windows and back window have any restrictions? Is it just the front two windows that have to be 50% or lighter?

Bam
sides and back must be @ 50% Incorrect. The FRONTS, aka passenger and driver cannot be darker than 50%, the rear windows can be as dark as you want. That's what the gahanna cop told me.
