I'm thinking about a 07 C230 as a DD. I can afford much newer Benzs then I'm looking at, and honnestly I'd much rather have an old one, especialy as a DD. With an 07 I'm sure you get a warranty, but you're still Ohne Benz for x weeks a year while they fix whatever is wrong with it. Untill they convince me that they're back to over-engineering, I'd avoid any benz made after 93 (unless you've got money enough not to care). They changed their philosphy 'round then and have gone from producing the worlds best reviewed and most reliable cars to literaly being among the worst in both categories. Their current customer service reputation sucks ass, too. This 500E is a prime example. Each took 18 days to build, and were hand assembled, partially by Mercedes, and then Porsche. One for the radiator, one is for the wipers, and the other *might* be for a dry sump oil system. I know they did that with their old 6.9ltr cars, I'll have to research this. He finally swapped it for a Jeep... yes a jeep. See, post-1993 benzes FTL. My 190E has 240k on the clock and has only cost me an alternator in the last year.
