White 1987 BMW 325is -

186k miles -

5 speed -

Black Leather interior -

 

Plus it has a couple of rust spots. Anyone recommend the best way to fix them. Also whats a good place to buy parts?

Yeah kinda big' date=' either way nice buy. Clean up the rust spots, wash wax and it will look like new. what are your plans? nice daily driver? auto-x?[/quote']

 

so far my plans are to restore it to pristine condition. Then once i have another car turn it into an auto-x.

what does that green/yellow/red light thing do, the one above the steering wheel?

 

its a countdown to tell you when the car needs to be inspected. It keeps track of the maintenance schedule.

just from pictures wich don't always show all you need a door and a rocker panel the rust on the rear appears to be stains from the screws that hold on the lisence plate lens...

 

let me know if you want it looked at some time we can give you an idea of what your looking at to get it fixed
