Shields1181
I'm thinking its a synchro issue. Typical grind into reverse, usually have to put it in 4th then into reverse to avoid it. NOW...as of tonight coming home from work, it didnt seem to want to downshift into 4th unless I gave it a lil rev...What to do?
Dave1647545494
first check clutch adjustment you may be due for a rebuild the t-5 isn't the worlds greatest trans
rl
Sounds like the clutch is out of adjustment. If you have a firewall adjuster give it a few turns counter-clockwise, if you just have a stock quadrant pull up on the clutch pedal and you should feel the stock adjuster ratchet a few clicks. Sometimes they wear out and wont hold adjustment and then its time for a nice 3 hook quadrant and adjuster (with a new OEM cable, not an aftermarket POS adjustable). Shields1181
I do have a firewall adj. I'll give that a try, thanks for the info. I also seem to have that classic problem of the raking/slight grind when shifting too fast into 2nd. Like you said, a rebuild may be in order in the near future. Where could I get that done just outta curiousity?
