Guest Removed Posted May 8, 2007 Report Share Posted May 8, 2007 is 408 the limit or can I go bigger? 427 i think, but thats with the older blocks.later blocks are weaker. just buy that 460 sb short block,aftermarket block,any piston you want for like 5500. add some of those kaase heads. toss in a viper slayyer t-56, and own the street. You will have to check it to be sure. I had a set of Canfield heads with 2.02 valves and a small hydraulic roller, no clearance issues.
