Some guy dove from a diving board in a swimming pool that turned out to be too shallow - left him with no control over his legs and little control over his arms.He sued the body that sets minimum swimming pool depths, saying that their published minimum depth for diving was too shallow. Thing is, the pool he was using didn't even comply with those standards, but he still won. So if I say you can wear a 3/4 helmet, and you ignore me and wear a 1/2 helmet, you can sue me because it turns out you actually needed a full helmet.
