If anyone is interested, Ohio County, West Virginia passed a vote on table gaming this past weekend so there will be table gaming at the Wheeling Island Racetrack & Gaming Center. For those who don't know, the Gaming Center is located about 2 hours straight east on I-70 just as you cross the border into West Virginia. At least now you don't have to go to Canada for table gaming.

I don't know the specifics yet on when the table gaming will actually begin but the spokesperson for the Gaming Center said they would start hiring people as early as today and start to get everything in motion.

I don't know how many people are actually interested in this on here, but I am real excited because I love poker and blackjack. Before this, the Gaming Center just had video slots. I can't stand video slots. Anyways, I will keep anyone who is interested updated on when this actually will begin.

You could make about the same drive and go to Grand Victoria as well. Is this Gaming Center a pretty nice place? Hotel?

Yeah it's a nice place. New additions including the hotel were all built I'd say within the last 5 years. And I know it's not that much farther to go to Windsor or somewhere in Canada, but now at least you don't have to cross the border to find table gaming.

Grand Vic is just outside of Cincy though. There's a couple within a couple hour drive.

I'll have to look into Gaming Center. Big craps player here.

Oh ok, I didn't know there was other table gaming that close. What state is Grand Vic in?

Windsor.

I love Windsor. I was just at the Casino Windsor a couple of months ago. I guess the reason I am excited is because this new table gaming is 5 minutes from my hometown.
