wnaplay1647545503
In neutral, my engine throttle advances just fine. When I go back into gear and try to advance the throttle it shuts off. Its a 5.0 mercruiser. Anyone have any idea.?

FormulaMatt
Will do. I am going to pick up my extra motors tomorrow night from his shop so I will see him even if I don't hear from him. Is it a Alpha 1?

Total Sign
On your shift linkage (on most stock engines, they are mounted on your starboard side exhaust manifold) there is a small box with two purple wires going into it. This box makes the engine miss momentarily while you shift it. Sounds like a shift cable (most likely the one going from the linkage to the drive) is out of adjustment. How old is it?
