Gergwheel1647545492
Got almost everything done lastnight, and got it strapped to the dyno. made 395 hp and 405 tq through a non-lockup converter stalled at 3500 rpm. http://www.personal.kent.edu/~gwheelan/dyno.jpg

Thanks for all the compliments, and Joe it was nice to meet ya
Buck531
you put a GN motor in it? I thought you had a 3800..
rl
you put a GN motor in it? I thought you had a 3800.. Its always been a GN motor. I think its one of the only GN/Fbody swaps with GN heads instead of TTA heads as well.
Mr. Jones
you put a GN motor in it? I thought you had a 3800.. You've seen this car run how many times @ Norwalk ?

Linn1647545492
Whats going on up top? Is it blowing spark out? why are you only spinning the motor to ~500?
rl
Thats the converter, its a fairly loose converter. Its tough to keep it from downshifting so the pulls are short and odd looking because they start so high. We rev it to 5700, we just didnt on that pull. V8 Beast
It would have been a good race between us tomorrow. I owe you one. Nice numbers I wonder just how much over 400 hp the car would be with a tighter converter and reving it all the way to 5700.
Dave1647545494
nice lookin car did it drive any better on the way home after we straightened out the front end?
rl
We just got the converter lock-up working so we'll get better numbers after tomorrow, but we'll be able to see what it does on the track tomorrow so that wont matter much. The car pulls very strong until 5700-5800 on the street, its still got a few small issues (like it doesnt have an exhaust) but we'll fix all that after norwalk. Not bad considering it was thrown together in 2 evenings/nights this last week.

OMG, it was so much better, no squelling tires at 40mph. steering wheel was nice and straight, and tracks nicely too. Thanks for all your help with it dave and derek
