What rearend gears ?

I may end up replacing my rear gears. I have a 2000 t/a , long tubes , ory , and lm 1. I have a m6. I was thinking about 4:10 's . Anyone else running 4:10's ?

I would go 4.10 also, especially with the 6 speed.

I politely disagree. I have ridden in plenty of stock-cammed vehicles with 4.10's. I honestly think 4.10's wake a lot of cars up.

I have 3:90 and rev my car to 6950.

 

i dont like the gears for roll racing however, a 28' tire will make my 3.90 more like a 3.73 which will be better on the freeway.

I ran a 4.10 in my car for years with great success(12.46 @111.98) I agree with Linn a 3.73 would be alot better roll race gear. Now that I dont have a stock motor the 4.10's work even better,but I think a 28" tire or a 3.73 will be needed for spray.

with 410s top speed is 112 on the stock motor. thats pushing it for the 1/4. thats why I said it depends on what his plans are. i.e. if he plans to stay with stock cams and do n2o he will will have to use 5th gear in the 1/4. if he plans to do h/c then 410s would be great.
