I got bad news about my car

I found out today that when my oil pump broke last year it messed up where the cams are mounted. So, my heads have to come off and be sent out to be repaired. The heads are being taken off with the engine in the car and I do have head studs. Also the car is gutted to receive the 10-point cage.

Almost done. The battery has been moved to the trunk. They just have to install the methanol injection kit and button up the fuel system. The cage looks awesome. I will get better pics posted when it's all finished.

you've had quite an experience with this car--lots of ups and downs--props for staying the course. hopefully the cage required you to remove the lambo doors, and put normal ones on again?? i kid.

I was pretty sure your car was a turbo setup wasnt it? Are the turbos mounted behind the front bumper? you have any photos of the setup?

partial bolt in ? looks like there are bolts around the base of the main hoop, but the remainder is welded

Looks great, that car has always been a performer. Cant wait to see it run again this year.

Love the car, sucks your cam wasnt mounted correctly, did it hurt the cams or just only the heads?

Oil starvation is what caused the problems where the cams mount.

I didn't. They will have to be covered with pads anyway.

Yes, I plan to take the visors out as they don't work anymore.
