I've bought two GTS parts cars for less than $400 a piece. Compared to any motor Toyota has, minus the 1ZZ (which is still super reliable, just consumes oil a lot). The 3800 Series II was on the Ward's 10 Best Engines list for 1995 through 1997. Toyota only made the list once (during that time), and it was in last place.
