2 day 50 mile trip down the Kokosing (lots of pics)

A few buddies and myself took a 2 day trip down the Kokosing River over the weekend. First day was about 11 hours and covered 28 miles ending at Whispering Falls Campground outside of Warsaw, Ohio where we stayed. The 2nd day took us 20 miles just beyond Conesville, Ohio. Had a great time and my shoulders and arms are still sore as hell.

god that looks like a blast. we did a 3-4 hour trip in the summer. i loved it. found out that canoeing with girlfriend who doesnt like to and sucks at paddling really kills your trip. i bet i said "ok, you gotta start rowing" 50 times. id love to do something like that in a kayak

 

if i can figure out a place to store one, i may have to get one next summer and hit some water with you

If you're at all interested in getting one, you should check out The Outdoor Source's Thursday night (if it's still going on) kayak demo and get an idea of what style might fit you and your needs best. Storage is a bit of an issue with me as well, but I'm setting up a hook system in my garage ceiling this week to stow it away during the off season. If you get one next year, I'll be happy to meet up with you some.

That looks like a blast. Does anyone know of a good place to rent a canoe or kayak for at least two people for the day? Something not too crazy expensive with some good scenery. I don't want to be playing bumper boats with people, either. Something that'll be kinda private, too, I guess.

I am probally going to be taking a trip thru there this weekend by canoe. Its about a 2 hour trip thru the Gorge.

Here's two that my buddy sent me from our trip. The only fish that was caught in the 2 days and it only took me 10 minutes at the end of day 2.
