Casper
I'll help, I can even bring an AK47 or two so we can shoot it first. Now that sounds like fun. You know for this, I might just take it off their hands for free.

rch10007
WTF? An AK with a scope...
kenny
Same one used on Dragunovs... Most AKs you'll see will have the scope rail on the side.

rch10007
The only AK I've ever shot had about a 12" pattern at 50 yards. It's pretty sloppy considering it's a machine gun and NOT a rifle. Maybe the ones manufactured today have closer tolerances.
kenny
Either user error or you were shooting REALLY bad ammo. I can group better than that at 100 yards while shooting the AMD-65, which has a 12" barrel instead of a 16".
rch10007
When was it manufactured?
kenny
The AMD? It's an Ohio receiver so it was built by hand, and I have no clue by who or when. Obviously sometime during the gay Clinton "assault weapon" ban since it had the folding stock welded open when I bought it. The Romak, no clue either. They're all basically the same though. The only real difference in AKs is if they're milled vs. stamped receivers. The majority of the ones you will see are stamped, and lower quality (both of mine are stamped). Milled cost quite a bit more, weigh a bit more and are higher quality. That said - both use the same barrel and are about as accurate. Even my brothers VEPR-K is on par with my two. Probably an ammo issue. If I had to guess you were using Wolf, which is utter shit and only good for blowing shit up. Target shooting with it is a joke. rch10007
Not sure about ammo type. It was Army issued during wep training.
kenny
I blame the user then.
rch10007
I blame the user then. That's ok... I can speed shoot a 3" pattern at 25 yards with my .40.
