The main opponents are looking at how it would be written and not as a gambling issue.

DaddyBuiltRacing
I voted for the casino all the other bullshit aside it would provide a ton of jobs Thank you, someone else with a brain. You cant create jobs if you vote down one thats going to bring 10k jobs here, but by all means go ahead and shoot it down. Just dont bitch when you cant find a job
wnaplay1647545503
If the casino owner is guilty of what the ads have accused him of, and he did the same thing here, it would eventually be taxpayers dollars that would have to foot the bill to clean up the mess. I am all for the casino. I am not for how the deal is written. So who is willing to give away their money should things go sour and this guy walks away a millionaire? HAOLE
Yeah your right along with the other millions that routinely leave the state to go gamble in another. Gambling is not being wise with your money. They don't build casinos to give away money.

I agree, though I don't think it should not be built because of that. It's others' own moniez that they want to gamble, let them be dumb if they want. nurkvinny
Hehe, I am up a few hundred if you combine all my casino trips. But, yes, it is not wise.
DaddyBuiltRacing
Gambling is not being wise with your money. They don't build casinos to give away money. You have to spend money in order to build the economy. So you go spend you money at a casino, which pays its workers, which go and spend their money, which generates economical stimulus
RedRocket1647545505
I have no problem with a casino, however, I voted against it because there was a lot of shady shit tangled up in it. If they want to remove whatever law is currently blocking it from becoming legal (instead of trying to over-ride it with an amendment), as well as get rid of all the bullshit that was attached to it, then I'd be ok with it. I don't give a shit how people waste their money. I don't feel it's the .gov's job to tell you what you can do with it either.

There are many more ways to incorporate a casino in to Ohio than what is being proposed. It's such an odd proposal and a loop-hole haven. Aaron
I will never use the Casino and did not research it properly so I didnt cast a vote. I will not tell others what should and should not be with out proper information.

koolrayz
I remember being all for bringing gambling into Wyo for all the resons many posted here. Then I spent a year building a gold mine in nevada. Seeing what it does to the community. It is truly a disease that steals from the poor and middle class. Ill bet alittleless's mother and boyfriend would find every penny they had going to gambling if the casino was down the street from them. When I was in Nevada I never saw so many workers broke without lunch money by the middle of the week, EVERY week. Keep in mind we were working alot of hours, taking home $1000 to $1200 a week, in 1989 almost 20 years ago thats alot of scratch to watch people loose every week. Gambling is fun, I still go out of town and gamble. But I enjoy the fact that its OUT of town. I would never live in an area that has gambling again.
