JuicedH22
Picked up a 2003 zo6, its bone stock right now, already have lowering bolts and vararam on the way, which will be all for now, we shall see what the winter brings... http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/zo6ftw/IMG_0647.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/zo6ftw/IMG_0648.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/zo6ftw/IMG_0649.jpg sorry for the horrible pictures, I literally just got the car home, and it is raining and dark, and the car needs a bath. Will take some better shots when the weather clears up
Kevin R.
Cannot go wrong with that! Nice buy. Those stripes painted on or vinyl?

Dr. Pomade
Great car. If I could offer some completely unsolicited advice, keep it close to stock for a while and just beat the living hell out of it; it's such a fun car to drive and you don't really need to do a lot to it to get a lot out of it. Too much too soon, means slower times. My plan is to just do the intake, exhaust and tune. Then drive it like that, till I feel comfortable on the track enough with it, then probably heads/cam. Only after enough time that I am limited then, will I consider upping the displacement... but thats far down the road. I need it to be near stock to be competitive in class. JuicedH22
Stripes on cars are gay, nice buy though I agree, they will be coming off in due time (vinyl)... My only concern is that paint fade will show up.

I'm with you completely on that. I can't stress enough how insanely fun the car was with just those mods you mentioned. Congrats on the acquisition, and I'll be curious to hear how things come along. Ramsey
those stripes have to go, even if the paint fade will show. other than that, awesome ride.
JuicedH22
Until I can get some better photos, here are the ones from the dealership... Got the car back, put a body kit on it, and decided on a black paint job with some z16 inspired stripes... http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/zo6ftw/1948836492.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/zo6ftw/1948836496.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/zo6ftw/1948836500.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/zo6ftw/1948836504.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/zo6ftw/1948836512.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/zo6ftw/1948836516.jpg

JuicedH22
fixed your comments for you Nice ride! Congrats! lol, thanks... Ive thought it through to the extent of what bolt ons will be going on, and started looking at the tuning maps I will leverage right now... then for the 'future upgrads' I've already determined what heads/cam I am using, what to expect, etc.. I've also gone so far as to model the engine into Virtual 4-Stroke to get some efficiency estimates, lol

blacksi
Keep the strips, then you wont have to put the rainbow sticker on the rear.
AJ
you paid money for lowering bolts? you can get the car so low on stock bolts and cutting one rib off the bushing that you scrape almost everything, dead animals, bumps on the freeway, you name it. HPfiend got one a few months ago and my car side by side his is almost 4" lower. good call on the intake, i love mine. the headslamps need HID's though, they suck. there is a kit on corvetteforum for under $300 and they are awesome. good call on the car, your going to love it. unfunnyryan
Those stripes really do make it unique. Makes you different then all the other plain black vettes out there. I don't really like them however.
Mopar
I'd keep the stripes, congrats on the buy.
Miller
Nelson Ledges, wanna race? Seriously though nice car. When I was at the track some of the most competitive A class cars were c5 z06's with tires and springs. A lot of people don't appreciate how nasty those things really can be on a track. spankis
Congrats on the purchase. I definitely don't mind the look and color of the stripes, but honestly the fact that they're vinyl would be enough for me to remove them. Paint defects FTL. Good luck with the car! AudiOn19s
Outstanding car. May I ask though...you've already got one of the most potent track cars available if it's got the right bits...so why the 'vette. Looking for change?...looking for a "reliable" track car? Smokey
Outstanding car. May I ask though...you've already got one of the most potent track cars available if it's got the right bits...so why the 'vette. Looking for change?...looking for a "reliable" track car? Andy the FD was totaled earlier this year and I don't think he bought it back from the insurance company. I'll admit David, I was secretly hoping to come in here and see you had bought your car back and were turning it into a track-only car....I'm sad. That being said, you'll love the Z06. My friend had a C5Z that with the same mods as your mentioning and a sqared tire setup was easily just as fast as my 300lb less FD.

My friend had a C5Z that with the same mods as your mentioning and a sqared tire setup was easily just as fast as my 300lb less FD. Guess I missed the FD being gone. Sorry 'bout that David. Having driven both at the track..the Z06 was as quick as your car on better tires and driven at a higher (and someone idiotic) level. The 'vette was impressive for no more than was done to it but I still don't think it had the potential of the FD if they're similarly modified. Hard to make up for that 300+ lbs on the track. Having said that, I'd still own the 'vette first though as a track rat Andy
