Ashley
AJ decided to build me a custom exhaust for my CTS-V as my Christmas gift. Two Hooker Aerochamber mufflers and two Magnaflow exhaust tips: http://allash.com/CR/1220081455.jpg C6 x-pipe installed in place of baffle: http://allash.com/CR/1220081146.jpg Leftovers: http://allash.com/CR/1220081455a.jpg My new sexy tips: http://allash.com/CR/CIMG2627.jpg Here is someone's clip of what a stock CTS-V exhaust sounds like: And here is a clip of what my exhaust now sounds like: (my camera sucks...the sound is a lot deeper in person)
KillJoy
NICE! It is a little X-Pipey for my tastes, BUT, it sounds a HELLOVA lot better than stock!!! KillJoy

AJ
Let that thing warm up before you go revving it. Damn Franky Free-revs... i just got home with it, we shut it off so you could hear it on start up. there is a reason i'm not a noob:p

Do it? Good Exhaust Guys are GOLD! If you can weld, and have the Proto-Type Cars.... DO IT!!!! KillJoy PS - H-Pipe > X-Pipe
AJ
Do it? Good Exhaust Guys are GOLD! If you can weld, and have the Proto-Type Cars.... DO IT!!!! KillJoy PS - H-Pipe > X-Pipe remember the camaro? that was just a box of uni pipe that was all cut up and fit then welded. Ashley's exhaust is fully welded so its one piece just like factory. the thing that sucks it so far everything has been a one off build so making them to sell would be hard. PS X-pipe > H-pipe:p

KillJoy
PS X-pipe > H-pipe:p PSSSHHHHH!!! Bite your tounge! If you wanted to do mail order, you would need to have Proto's and "Masters". Otherwise, EVERYONE will need to come to you. THAT drastically limits your customer base. The Marauder Community used to have a guy that was in Marietta, GA. His shop did GREAT SS work. BUT, he was in fucking GA!!!!! I refused to go there for the work, as did MANY others. Now, had he offered a Bolt-Up kit.... he would still be in business. So.... pick a SPECIALTY (Caddy? ), make Full and Partial Kits, and sell them on their respective Forums . Also, Dyno Numbers, and Good Quality Audio Clips SELL Exhaust kits. KillJoy
Wonderboy
I agree, you did a VERY nice job. It looks great.
AJ
i doubt a cat-back added anything to the performance of her car. maybe down the road i'll look into making a master for a few cars and then a jig to fit them together to weld. right now i'll just stick to doing one off type of deals. Nitrousbird
Hey ill be a test dummy for your F-body's!!!! There are so many options for the F-body (including true-duals) that can be bought off the shelf, that I can't imagine there is really a market for doing them one-off. AJ
true duals on an f-body sound like a 76 dump truck though then someone didn't know how to properly design an exhaust system for not only function but sound.
