Science Abuse
Umm.... neat? http://auto.freedomblogging.com/2009/03/04/the-car-that-runs-on-air-the-airpod-is-here/ Does it come with an emergency foot pump?
Draco-REX
dumb.. The old con of something from nothing is alive and well. You can't create energy. But people forget that energy was used to compress the air first. I'll bet the energy used to compress the air is more than the car can get from the air. (sucker bet) But people keep coming up with these "alternative fuel" methods that have multiple sources of loss in the production. Hopefully the Volt will change people's perceptions of electric cars.
paktinat
I'd wager that compressed air is a much more efficient storage mechanism for electricity than hydrogen electrolysis. I'd have to do some math, but its probably more efficient than the current crop of commercially available batteries too. Now, we know better batteries exist, you just can buy them yet...... Science Abuse
Why must they be so ugly? They're French. In France, it's not art unless it's ugly.
ImUrOBGYN
They're French. In France, it's not art unless it's ugly. I'll remember that if there's ever a time I get too drunk and go home with a fat, ugly girl. So, do you just air it up at the gas station or what? Is there a little valve like on your tires that I can press to "deflate" your car at the store for cutting me off?
