Dang...tight fit.

The engine is from a Audi RS6, Manual Trans is from an RS4 since RS6 were Auto only. Everything bolts right up.

Interesting! That does seem to be pretty cozy in there. I'm not an Audi guy, so please tell me what the point of this is? I mean I know you're swapping in a TT V8, but why not just buy the Rs6?

RS6 = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Swap = $$$$$

Get the idea?

That is being done is Europe somewhere, the dude probably found an rs6 engine and thought it would be fun to do. RS6's are heavy and like I said automatic only so this will be a lot more fun to drive than an RS6. Those engines chipped make about 520hp crank. I dunno, its not something I would do, a healthy stage 3 s4 can do that, but throw a couple of gt28s on the RS6 and shit would be crazy, even more so if the motor is in a manual A4

:lol:

Okay, I just didn't think there was that much of a $ difference to make it worth doing a swap.

Well a used 03 RS6 with 66k on the clock in Columbus is up for a hair under $26k... which is $4k MORE than what i bought my car(same class as A4) over 4yrs ago with only 45k on the clock.

So doing the 4 or 5k swap is worth it, especially in weight savings considering the RS6 is a heavy weight sedan vs the A4 coupe. I know I tip the scale at 3125... so a nice 4.4L V8 out of an XC90 would be quite fun if I were RWD/AWD.

hey the 2.3l MS3 scoots like heck at the same lbs. :D

A guy on the 24/7 board just pulled very low 13's from his with just a downpipe and an intake running on slicks :cool: Lack of traction owns us :o It's the #1 thing I dislike about this car.....FWD.

And you thought the S4's would blow turbo's because of heat............I couldn't imagine throwing a bigger engine in the B5 engine bay than the 2.7. Heat is their #1 enemy, let alone a significantly bigger engine with even less cooling.

My god, I would love to drive that car, but would not like to work on it when it breaks.

wow I thought the 2.7tt was a tight squeeze! And Im buying those rs6 turbos, they throw out 450-460 bhp on the 2.7tt

Nice! Those are pump numbers, ASP just put down 465whp/492wtq on pump and 507whp/522wtq on 109oct on their RS6 kit. Doing it yourself? It's a pretty straight forward job, and will save you lots of $$$. Do the clutch while you have the motor out, its something I will have to do when I do my stg3 fueling :(

Wow didnt know they were up into those numbers now. Yes I will be doing it myself, I've already pulled an S4 motor its pretty straightforward just a lot of small tasks.

I have K06 rebuilds sitting next to me so I'm looking for some blown ones maybe. I will def. be doing a clutch, 3'' downpipes, 3'' test pipes into a true dual system. I have bilstein shocks and neuspeed race springs coming next week.

This isnt 3" per side but its what I have:

I got it for 300$ shipped, I see the price has gone up but you still cant beat that price for a true dual, stainless turbo-back exhaust.
