Trails still typically sticks to the rule-book (My brother got the boot after one pass in his EVO last year for running 11s). However, Dragway 42 has always been pretty lenient (Private day or otherwise) last I was there. I think you would be fine there unless you were going wayyyyyy too fast. I have seen guys run low 9's at 42 on regular test and tune nights with no bars at all in the car. The only time I saw them say something to anyone was because they couldnt drive.
