i7 2.66ghz (which will be OCd for sure)

Monster V8 cooler

Asus P6T board

6gb Mushkin 1600 - on order

3 OCZ 30GB SSDs raid0 - on order

500Gig Sata II storage drive

800Watt PS

CM HAF 932 full tower

2 20" LCDs

Lower end video card - dont plan on playing games just yet

 

Now if Newegg would drop off the rest of my shiz I could boot this thing up!

More pics when its done.

Maybe some water cooling in the future.. maybe a couple monster video cards who knows.

Let me know if you do. I just converted my rarely-on server from water to air, may do the same with my gaming rig. Would need to see if there's a clamp (cheap) or water block (pricey) for the i7 though.

+1. I made that mistake years ago, on my first-ever setup. I went with the largest heatsink/fan duo that I could find. The combination of the weight of it with the heat from the cpu caused the top mounting washers and screws on the mobo to squeeze and crack. Good airflow and an efficient hsf is the only thing you need if you go air-cooling over liquid.

Yep. The stock cooler and a good breeze across the case will get you pretty far, even in overclocking.
