Nd4spd_150 Posted April 14, 2009 Report Share Posted April 14, 2009 I was out in the mustang on saturday and something weird happened I was romping on it a little and then i heard a wierd clunking noise it sounded like it was coming from under the D.S. valve cover i pulled them off expecting a loose or broken rocker and nothing was wrong....I check the compression on all 8 nothing wrong...head gaskets are fine...i was thinking either the lifters or the valve cover came loose I'm lost on this one. Nd4spd_150 Posted April 16, 2009 Author Report Share Posted April 16, 2009 this was more a knocking sound there are no leaks anything broken etc....I took the motor all the way down to the short block and found nothing out of place....i think the valve cover might have come loose and caused it so I should have it back together tomorrow..........here's hoping Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
