I have an ecotec build book that shows you step-by-step what it takes to get to 250hp, 400hp, 600hp, 1000hp and 1400hp. it has complete parts lists and everything, and is published by GM. I've got my own copy, but you can also view it here : http://tunersource.gmblogs.com/Racer-Tech/ECOtec-LSJ-Build-Book EDIT : that is one of the two books I have, which doesn't go into the more extreme power levels.
