I ordered my magpul CTR from AIM a few weeks ago and I no idea when it will get here.

My guess is they are trying to find you a Vltor to send instead. You'll be happier.

That thing's gotta weigh 20 pounds. May as well finish it off with a bipod so you don't have to keep holding it up to shoot it.

Not really..The magnifier is the only thing outside the norm on it.

Ever held an M&P15? They're fairly heavy IMO. Also I see no problem with the grip and stock.

Blackwing had some stocks last time I was there IIRC.

ever held a thompson?

Gun, complete, with loaded 20-shot box magazine ............. 11 lb. 15 oz.

Gun, complete, with loaded 50-shot drum magazine ........... 15 lb. 6 oz.

thats twice what an AR weighs.

Yes. Seems no heavier than my Stag.

There isn't a problem with it. Just they are like a stock exhaust. What's on the car is fine, but you want to mod it. There you have it.

Other then the gun being cool , whats its practial use for this rifle? it seems if not in the military or special force or a police, the rifle is just made to look cool for civilians?

Shooting it at the shooting range, home defense, maybe safe queen, what people ususally use a gun for? Plus it looks nice.

for when the cubans and russians invade. Its a good feeling when you know you have enough firepower to supply a small militia. :bangbang:

can you defend yourself with it....yes
