Going to say I'm not a huge fan.. it's just going to look like orange peel, everywhere.

BUT, I do support the fact that you're trying something different and original that most would never consider

If the rest of the car comes out like that fender, its going to be hot.

HAHA the best part is the fender is one of the first things I sprayed. I'm becoming pretty handy with the rattle can.

So costs involved.

Various materials "Replacement screws / Brushes / tape / Plastic to drape" ~100

Paint "SO far I will need more" 100$ (12 cans) + 12 cans on the way for free

TIME. Wow this is is a HUGE ONE. To be dead honest I have no clue. We've worked everyday since friday with brakes and parts runs and bullshitting .

Sanding wise I've had quite a few people help on saturday and some sunday.

PREP is the important part. in the video we hit home on some key parts of painting.

I think the car is going to look pretty nasty the more I paint

New pics up in the Flickr Set.

I would like to point out that there's a Thorne in that trunk. Yes, Thorne has dressed up for Halloween as the ass end of his car. Five months early.

He'll have more to say, I'm sure, but the trunk lid is nowhere near done. The stuff he's really nailed, (like the scoop, bumper, etc) is surprisingly even. There's some spots with a slightly different amount of matte/gloss, but overall it's better than I was expecting.

The trunk is prolly one of my worst pieces only because I've stepped on it 3 or 4 times. It's held up to that very well.

there are a few things. With the way I spray the car will not be 100% done until I power wasch it. Some of the spots are actually just flakes that can be wiped off. I've got some before and after pics of a pieces wiped off.

The trunk lid has dirt and other crap on it.

It's allot of work I will say that.
