updating some things on the speed3

Well ive been adding quite a bit to the speed3 and i figured id share everything thats been done in the last month or so,

I did a Vibrant street power exhaust looks stock, sounds awesome! (DP back)

Cobb turbo inlet pipe, in black so its harder to spot.

Street unit boost tubes, ( i wanted black but a good deal came up on the blue ones)

Circuit sports Oil catch can

CP-e gauge pod for the center

Prosport electric boost with Peak/warn

Prosport electric oil temp

Prosport Electric oil pressure

ProSport Oil Filter Adaptor Plate (for use with the gauges)

Mazda OEM Spin-On Oil Filter Conversion Kit

 

OEM Mazda rx-8 wheels (currently being redone)

i posted up pics of the exhaust already, no need for more of them.

 

Gauge pod, I wanted a piece that looked stock along with gauges that matched the car quite well and i think i achieved that with out looking over the top and ricey.

Ignition on, engine not started (this is the Daytime mode of the gauges)

Night time of the gauges, they are amber at night. (no the car was not started)

when the wheels are done and back from powder coating they should be like this, exact color is Satin Silver but with a 10% black tint to it. will give it a nice effect imo.

I don't understand why you replaced the boost pipes. the stock parts don't look too bad and the new parts appear the same diameter.

 

The stock pipes are just rubber which is known to expand under boost. the new silicone ones are not supposed to do that but i only bought them because it was a deal that i couldn't refuse.

 

what are you doing with the stock 18s?

 

Keeping them for the winter wheels.

youd be surprised. He doesnt show the other side of that piece either.... they mold those things around some crazy stuff... If anything the continuous smooth surface helps, and they arent made to tune out noises like the stockers are.

Thanks for the warm welcome on the mods, thought i do have some bad news, mike at wheel medic informed me that all the wheels were actually bent but no problem for them to fix it.
