Heres a couple progress pics of my turbo fox. All I have left to do is run the cold side and wire up my 2-step and wideband.

does it run yet?

Negative, cold side gave us problems all day. The new design doesnt seem to fit with the crossover being pushed out further to clear the sway bar. The "U" bend that goes into the intercooler is almost like its to wide of a turn. Prolly going to have to have it cut and rewelded tomorrow.

It will be driven to Ohio and back. I got Brian to burn me a chip with 3-4 different tunes on it and Im able to set which tune the car runs the best on. IF I have time, I might take it to a local shop down here and put it on the dyno just to get a run down of how everything is running.

Be careful young jedi. I had a burned or "canned" tune and mine did not run so hot.

Absolutly, might just crank the wastegate wide open so there is little to no boost on the way home.

if you do, so some where , that will install a wideband bung in the down pipe, and run there wideband right in it...that way you know for sure the tune is close enough to be safe..to rich, you could wash out the rings...to lean, and you could push head gaskets out, or even worse, melt the rings down, or even knock a hole in a piston...

its not wise to drive 1000 miles on a untuned turbo car.

Alex,

Start with tune zero on the chip. If it is too rich (A/F below 11.0) Then try position one on the switch. Each tune gets 10% leaner. The purpose of the tunes are to get you to up here to Columbus. Adaptive Learning is turned on in the chip. Therefore the ecm should correct some as need be during closed loop. As long as fuel pressure is at 40 psi and the maf is calibrated for 60's. One of the 4 tunes should get you to Ohio just fine. Also remember commanded A/F is 11.0 under boost.

I think you will be just fine. Use the tune that keeps your A/F between 11.0 and 11.5 under boost and everything should stay together.

I really dont understand, the i/c pipe is on my car and quite a few others as well. I didnt cut anything on mine, went directly on. Are you running an electric fan or clutch? I have the clutch fan still and makes it close to the hot side but its still fine. I wrapped the complete crossover to prevent any additional heatsoak

I would consider also wrapping the downpipe partially because the cold side comes out of the inner fender right there and will help keep the iat down some as well.
