Bam
1997 GTP, rolled 89k miles on my way home from buying it. Only mod is a fenderwell intake. I plan on ridding the car of KR if the scan shows any, which is probably will so I'll get a 3" downpipe, and then maybe finding some larger wheels. It does need some suspension bushings/shock mounts it sounds like, but overall ride nice and is a great cruiser. I'll be replacing these few things soon and I'm on the hunt for some 2005+ mustang wheels/tires, probably gonna go with 18's. Comments welcome, I'm glad to be back into a GTP. http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t124/BAM614_Cobra/DSCN2293.jpg http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t124/BAM614_Cobra/DSCN2294.jpg http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t124/BAM614_Cobra/DSCN2295.jpg http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t124/BAM614_Cobra/DSCN2296.jpg

2 Sweet
Looks great! I had a '97 GTP coupe, also red. Mine had a gray cloth interior... stock... http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c295/skoval25/Car%20pics/GTP1.jpg not stock... http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c295/skoval25/Car%20pics/GTP006.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c295/skoval25/Car%20pics/GTP007.jpg It just had an intake, 3" downpipe, mufflers, reflashed PCM, 12" brake upgrade, and a couple other minor things. I also got an Aeroforce Interceptor which was sweet and I could constantly monitor KR. I loved that car and I miss it a lot. If you have any questions about anything let me know and I'll see if I can help. Congrats on the new ride!

Bam
Thanks guys, its definitely a lot sweeter than the 98 civic 4 door, lol. Just2Sweet, that looks real nice. Mine's the black leather power seat, but not heated. I'm undecided about tint, yours looks nice with the dark wheels, so I think that's what will determine it. If I go chrome/polished wheels no tint, if I go gray/black then tint. Are those 17's or 18's? How much was the gauge/scanner? Did you have KR normally with those mods? That's another thing on the TO DO list, new headlights, mine are hazy and leak water, I'd love some black housing ones, we'll just have to see how much they run. Plus I need some minor oem stuff. Didn't get any key fobs w/ the car, my auto dimming rearview mirror is two different colors and reflects weird, and some of the buttons on the steering wheel are worn off, although they work fine still. Guest slow f23
steve's wheels were 17's i do believe. nice pick up man
2 Sweet
Thanks man. Those are factory Pontiac rims, 17x7, off a 2006 Grand Prix Special Edition. They were only made in '06 so they are somewhat hard to find. I think chrome/polished Mustang Bullitts look awesome on these cars. If you go that route it'll look great IMO. I got the gauge/scanner brand new for right around $220 shipped (somewhere online) but it was worth every penny IMO. It will display virtually any parameter you could want. I had 0 KR except for occasionally I would get a tiny blip of 1-2* right after the 2-3 shift. Every car is different though. There are some instances where two cars with identical mods will have slightly different amounts of KR. I was planning to get a smaller pulley and headers but ended up selling the car before I had the chance. Here's a few pics of the Aeroforce installed in the pillar... http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c295/skoval25/May03006-1.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c295/skoval25/9-23-08004.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c295/skoval25/Car%20pics/GTP010.jpg You can get the headlights for around $150 shipped on ebay last time I checked. As far as oem stuff, check out moradpartscompany.com, or the Pick N Pull on Groveport Rd seems to have a good amount of '97+ Grand Prixs nowadays. If you haven't checked out clubgp.com I'd take a look there as well. Lots of good info
Snowflake
Are you going to take it to test and tune?
Bam
Are you going to take it to test and tune? Maybe, when? Steve, thanks for the info, I had no clue those were oem wheels, pretty cool. I'm definitely planning on heading to pick n pull when i get a minute, and I've been on clubgp, seems like a good group...except the search function kinda sucks. Any idea on how to disable the DRL's? Or make it so my fogs are on all the time too? lol.
2 Sweet
Not sure about the fogs, but on the '97 its really easy to disable the drl's, all you have to do is yank a fuse
Snowflake
yank the fuse in the glovebox is what I did. You will just have to manually turn lights on and off at night. Test and tune is this Sunday and next Sunday at Trails..12-5 15 bucks..
Main3s
Nice car. If you want to keep it that way...don't mod it. Intake + Exhaust = enough. (Sorry bad experience with mine over 320whp) And since people are whoring out their GTP Pics ... http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/cmaines01/PaintWall1.jpg http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/cmaines01/ModdedEngine.jpg http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/cmaines01/100_0166.jpg http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/cmaines01/PaintWall4.jpg http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/cmaines01/LookingDownTheField.jpg
