01 Camaro KY turbo kit build thread

Steve's (1slow-z) 01 Camaro

Car used to be a MS4 with lightly ported stock heads and a faceplated 6 speed with a 10 bolt and 4.10's. With that set up the car made 441 rwhp Best pass the car made with that set up was 11.38@121

 

The new set up is going to be a KY turbo kit with either a 76 or 78 mm and a cam (232 242 595 610 115 lsa) for boost. A 9in and going to stay with the six speed. Here is some pics that steve wanted me to put up for the build thread.

get the felpro mls head gaskets. love em. will be lots of fun. we need a list of turbo cars in columbus and setup a turbo car meet.

steve is in Florida right now with family but he mentioned when he gets back were going to button it up and get it on the dyno soon

Is he still running the stock trans and rear end right now???

 

ALSO: I assume because it is not metioned in the first post he is running the stock k-member and rack.. But is this kit the only retaining the a/c???

 

cant wait to see it.. I would love to see that thing get dynoed

He's going with a 9in and no the trans is built and faceplated by libertý in michigan. And yes he is only losing ac with this kit stock k member and rack

what kindof fuel setup will he be using to support the power??

 

I am kinda torn between stock in tank and adding a inline, or go dual in tank, or bigger single in tank

cant wait to get this thing a fuel system and get it to the dyno......im really suprised on how well everything mounted up. The only problem we ran into was taking the sway bar off to get the cross over pipe to fit..
