Some of you that made it over to Dyno Brian's yesterday know that my car broke again. It seems that the tailshaft housing on my transmission broke. I had just replaced it friday because the first one was cracked and leaking, then saturday while making pulls it started leaking fluid. This time it came apart far enough to bind up the driveshaft, hopefully it didn't hurt the output shaft.

Before anyone says anything about the Performabuilt tranny, know that it doesn't come with a tailhousing or a bellhousing. So I'm not blaming them, not to mention that I need to relocate the torque arm. I'll have to inspect things a little closer when I take it apart, but I don't know what could've happened other then the converter hits so hard plus nitrous and 500rwhp just puts too much stress on it.

yeah, i'm sure my trans is gonna look like that soon

I'm just lucky it happened on the dyno, I'd hate to have done that on the street.

Take the torque arm off, especially if you're using a "hit" of nitrous or a big stall that hits hard.
