NightRider
Just wanted to say hi to everyone. How is everyone doing? My name is Shawn. I'm 23 and i live in Lancaster, roughly about 30 min from Columbus. I started riding about 2 years ago. I have always had a deep passion for cars, muscle cars, hot rods, vintage...anything old, i was even fortunate enough to own a 63 289 hipo Fairlane at one time. Motorcycle's have always intrigued me, i have always been around them. My brother has owned quite a few motorcycle's and currently has an s83 Suzuki Boulevard. I guess you could say, i owe it all to him for getting me started. Just watching him ride his bikes....slowly lit a fire inside me. Now...i can't get enough. I think about bike's all day long, i'm hooked, line, bait and sinker. My 1st 2 bikes were nothing special, but served their purposes. A 1976 Kawasaki kz-400 to get me started. 500 bucks, couldn't beat it, top speed of 70mph on a very windy day! lol. Next was a 1982 Honda Nighthawk 650. Much faster, louder...but has left me wanting more. With the selling of both of those, i have been looking for a new bike for some time. Saving my money, and going big or bust. My brother has let me ride his S83 a few times and it's a nice bike, but there's always room for improvement. My goal is to obtain a bike with similar specs, or my HUGE goal of highly exceeding them. (72 hp). I have been looking at used Hd V-rods, and used Triumph Rocket III's. Those are lofty at best, but one can dream right? I hope to find a nice bike before, or around the early stages of incoming warm weather. I look forward to hanging around the boards, meeting new people, and eventually riding around with you guys. Thanks for reading my wall of text!Have a good one.

cmoosego
dude if you like the s 83 you should get the c 109, more power and cruiser comfort and the price tag is reasonable compared to some of the harley's, but if you are gonna go vrod, I'd suggest the muscle... def worth the money IMO.... To me everything on it looks absolutely awesome except for the headlight case. I don't want to start off by pissing on the HD guys, but if i were to get an HD, it wouldn't be anything but a V-rod. Except for the V-rod, they are all to slow, and have nothing but the Harley sound going for them. Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. Better than Amanda I guess. DOH!!! Gotta love Lemmy from Motorhead. What a life that dude has had. He was a roadie for Jimmy Hendrix. Wow. Never really been there that i know of, (maybe as a kid?). Just going off what i have heard. I haven't been to Amanda in a long time. I wonder if that skating rink is still there? Just seems a little "mountain menish" to me lol.Hmm, i didn't know that about Lemmy. 2 great icons if you ask me. These 2 songs are more their mainstream, but King of Kings and The Game are great songs. Ace of spades isn't bad either. Jimmy imo is the best guitar player ever, he also gets props for All Along The Watchtower. He reference's riders in the song haha. max power
Thank you. Sugar Grove, home of the rich...and possibly uptight? You must be talking about a different Sugar Grove. If there are rich folks there, I haven't seen them. Amanda is 5-10 minutes from Lancaster. Sounds like you need to get out of the "big city" once in a while. BTW, the roller rink is still there and the area is a little more bubbyish than mountain manish. too funny.

Yeah i know where Amanda is, i used to go down there as a kid. My older brother actually got kicked out of the roller rink down there, go figure lol. My fiance is originally from Columbus and i spent alot of time up there with her. It's a nice place to visit, but i deffinitely wouldn't want to live there. This "big city" is just fine enough for me. Not that i don't like getting out and seeing new places. It's fairly quite, traffic isn't all that bad, and you can always hit 33 for some wide open throttle action!Trust me, i get out...i just cant remember the half of it.
