whats it worth?

well as some of you know im working on building a 383 for my firebird. Once i get the motor completed or at least close to it, im going to pull the 3.8 and try to sell it. What would something like that be worth? Or would it be better to part the motor out and try to get rid of it that way?

specs on the motor are, stock 3.8 block from an 02 camaro, stock cast crank thats been ground .010, comp cam, comp hardend pushrods, comp 105 pound valve springs, minor work to the stock heads, stock everything else. Car made right around 225 whp and 230 tq at the wheel through a 4l60e with a 3500 stall and 4.10 gears out back.

you run great times for such low numbers...cant wait to see what you will be able to do with the v8!!

thanks man, yea i cant wait to see what it does either. It helps that the car only weighs 3000 pounds.

I would say around 500 or so seeing as not many people want to spend the money on a v6...

 

keep it and swap it into a shell and put a turbo on it
