John Bruh
I'm planning on parting my Galant out and i want to build a notch back. My plan is a 4v cobra motor (03/04) and single turbo. How hard is it going to be to put this motor into the older car? Clearance issues? Wiring issues? It's going to mainly a drag car/weekend warrior. What hp can those motor make and be reliable. I know dovers car made 710 iirc, but it blew up (idk why it blew maybe an un-related issue). for the rear end if the car makes over 600hp will it need a 4link or just upgraded the 8.8 with moser's? They can make more power then that and be "reliable". Dover was a fluke.

Saw a stupid clean Notch this weekend back home in Sandusky. Was dark blue with either white or satin silver pony 5 stars. Not sure of the price but was very nice clean and straight. 2highpsi
Why not just build an 03-04' cobra? If you have access to manheim simulcast you should be able to steal one. I seen some crazy low transactions last time I checked.

OJdidit1738
Seen quite a few notchs like that, the motor sits pretty snug in there but theres alot of companies that make k members for the swap, the rear end will hold power with a 8.8 with just some axles and c clip elims, if your looking to do the six speed as well I forgot what you have to do to the tunnel but im pretty sure it cant bolt right into the factory shifter i just know the driveshaft will be a different length and not sure on the trans crossmember either, but that would definitely be badass and fast

twistedfocus1647545489
I believe Randy Barch's vert is an 03 Cobra Engine/6-speed swap car. He could probably fill you in on the swap details. I think his SN is BigHairDryer.
iwashmycar
how does that have that interior? sweet! also been done a couple times. not usually with the door handles and all that like in the pic, but it fits with a little trimming at the windshield
BDHG940
Its just a lot of time, thats about it but I wired everything from the 03 to work. Power windows, locks, remote entry, a/c, power steering, hydroboost, fuel system, etc. Its cool just wasnt going to make enough power, going turbo. Here is a few shots, its a cool swap and you will like it. I just really decided turbo since I really need to use it for marketing and the sc really does nothing for that. King of street this year was a whipple notch, the cars are light! http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj77/on3p/03notch.jpg http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj77/on3p/DSC03171.jpg http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj77/on3p/DSC03309-1.jpg http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj77/on3p/DSC03309.jpg http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj77/on3p/DSC03301.jpg All depends on your power you want to make, give me some ideas and Ill tell you what I would do. I have a complete eaton swap sitting at the shop as well if you come up with a 4v motor and also have teksid block, 8 bolt crank, 99 or 03 heads, etc if you wanted to build your own setup
Trouble Maker
how does that have that interior? sweet! IIRC SN95 chassis was not completely new but an iteration on the Fox body chassis and (parts of?) the interior will swap in. Any Ford/Mustang guys have any more info? I think I've heard people before say "The whole interior will just swap right in", but I'm would assume it's not that easy.
John Bruh
i want to build a 650-750hp Turbo car. No superchargers. I have a turbo already for it, just need to get a bigger hot side, and eventually upgrade to a biger charger. Really I want a car that is going to be reliable that i can drive on the weekends, yet still take it to the street fights, grudge races, or bracket and be consistant and not break. Bam
Why go turbo? Why not just build a nasty motor? I bet you'd have the same money in either setup, but less shit to worry about breaking and trying to stuff in the engine bay... EDIT = Scott was wrong. Not sure where you are getting those HP numbers or what you're shooting to run, but that's just my .02. BDHG940
He is going to have the same or more in an all motor modular motor build that might be around 500. With good parts and the right setup, you could easily daily drive at the 650-700 level. I have a 2v customer in vegas that pretty much drives his everday and currently just shy of 700 wheel. Im pretty much doing the same build you are talking about but maybe taking it a little further. If your considering a pushrod setup, thats a different ball game.
