What's it worth? 2002 Ford Lightning

A friend of mine wants to sell his red 2002 Ford Lightning with 102,000 miles. This has the 5.4 L V8 which makes 380 hp and has 450 lb-ft of torque. He's the original owner and garaged the truck every night. It's bone stock, maintained by the book, no known problems or damage. I would say it's in very good condition.

 

For a sale to a private party, this is what I find:

KBB says 10-12k

Edmonds says 8,800

 

NADA guide says clean trade-in is 10,275 and clean retail is 13,350

 

Just based on the info here, what do you think he should ask for the truck? Where should he try to sell it? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, if you think you'd be interested, let me know and I'll put you in contact with him directly.

I would say 12-13k with the miles being the condition you stated.

If it had miles in the 40-50s I would say 15-18k.

doc i was looking at an 02 with 101k on it last month i had the guy down to 9500, not to say he couldnt get more, but this had the truck listed for 4 months.

In all honesty, I would recommend asking 11,500, but willing to accept an offer around 10k or so.
