TheBussman1647545507
I"m switching jobs at the end of the week. current job is $10/hour + $8/hour flat rate. I unusually work 50 hours a week i should have been entitled to the 10 hours overtime on the hourly side right? this is a small company, 5 employees. Am I too late? is there a loophole I don't know about? it's not going to add up to a ton of money maybe $1300 or so.
ForeverMaker
At will employment. Probably screwed unless you have a contract.
MrMeanGreen
If you can prove they owe it to you, file a suit. Make sure you have proof. I was in the same boat, and walked away with what they owed me plus some.
BBQdDude
We had the same scenario here with a consulting company. They consultants filed and two years later my buddy got his end.
verse
I don't believe you're entitled to overtime at 40 hours unless your contract or papers you signed say that. That's what I've always assumed. If not I should be owed a lot of money.
