Science Abuse
The Car-Talk guys ran a buisness like this for a while; You rent a bay with a lift and bring your own tools, or rent theirs. There's got to be more of these in the states. I'd heard about one in St Louis, any around Ohio?
stangsn95gt
I know people on here have talked about it but all said insurance would be ridiculous to actually do this
zeitgeist57
http://www.columbuscarclub.com/ The guy that did columbuscarsandcoffee.com is trying to get a group of exotic owners together to set up an exclusive garage for storing and working on high-line cars. For years I complained that the insurance is too high, but really you just need to structure the "organization" that owns/leases the space and tools to a controlled group of people; everyone owns a share (and the liability) of the property. harmonda
I thought there was a place down off trabue or Roberts rd. that was one of those store and sell outfits and they had maintenance stalls for rent. May have been quite a while ago though.

wnaplay1647545503
I planned on doing this a few years back and did alot of research on the subject. If it werent for my injury I would planned on having this up by now. Unfortunately all teh financial backing I had in the old bank is now just being used to try and survive. I still hope to do something in the future.
Guest Hal
You might be able to talk Dyno Brian into letting you use his lift. I think he had tossed around the rental idea a little bit when we were working over there.
Science Abuse
Not me, freind asked. I imagine insurance would be a bitch, partial ownership is a nice way around that. It's also prime LLC territory.
LS_Sonoma
We had what was called an Auto Hobby shop in the military which was basically the same terms. Ran very well. I think its a great idea. You would need a good tool inventory program though.
