I do not enjoy sanding and painting after this, here they are. Im trying to give the Ef a clean non-riced look so I went with some 15in Gsr blades.

I just plucked a set of wheels up.from rice paddy for my motard project and they need painted. I'll probably get them power coated just for durability sake, but how Much time went into sanding? I feel like id be worth it to have who ever powdercoats them to do the prep too.

Hand sanding sucks. I dread life anytime I have to do it. Which regretably is a lot. Shoot me a PM if you'd like a quote.Looks good Aaron. I kinda like it against the odd ball gold paint. But thats the into VW stretchandpokedrownkittycatsintheriverthenchokeababyinthepark in me. That shade Gray as well as a decent Bronze is a bit of a Unicorn to find in powder.

fuck, 5hrs? There has to be a less labor intensive way of doing that. What about a big sand blaster? Ill def. keep you in mind patterson once tehy are built! Power coat is a definite, its just how i get there is up in the air

Blasting works well, so long as the media isn't too coarse. Elsewise it'll tear up the substrate pretty good. A chemical strip (super messy) then blast as a final works best but even really cranking on them is 3-4 hours minimum. And if its a rough casting there is time to knock that down or it'll show through the powder badly. It could be my fear of turning out ugly stuff or I'm a glutton for punishment but I wet sand everything like its going out of style.

Thanks, I probably sanded a good 5 hours. I ended up painting the inside of the wheel along with the bead and clear coated it. I planed on painting the car but a few thing I would like to finish on it before I do.

Keep the OEM change the interior. Good stuff.

Yup, got del sol seats for it, Mine wheels came painted and they chipped so I had to make it even so I just sanded it down to bare metal so it looks decent. It might not take you as long but i'm OCD.

If you want decent results its the best way to be.
