Where are those numbers coming from? Projected base price between 20-25k in most articles I've read.

 

Unless they left room for a LS7 swap, nothing to get too excited about.

 

20-25k is what I'm expecting myself, but from past articles they've been aiming for prices south of 20k.

I was very interested in the FT-86 until I heard about FFR's Project 818. But the FT still interests me some. If it has a Subaru block, I'm sure pretty much any subaru engine will bolt right in. And with all the room ahead of the engine, I don't think it'd be too difficult to shoehorn Subaru's new front mount turbo in there either.

 

The FT should have a lot of modding potential.

 

As for a LS under the hood, I don't see why not. Those things get shoved into everything.

I got a survey from subaru a few months back basically asking if i would buy a rwd subaru, needless to say i said yes, I even wrote hell next to the yes box. I doubt anybody will ever see my comment but it was worth it.
