You're doing it wrong if you have to use A1 or other crap. Nice dose of Kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper and you're set.

 

Photo from last summer, but one of my favorite meals.

 

  • 8oz strip steak, 3/4 to 1-inch thick
  • Kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons black peppercorns, coarsely crushed
  • 2 tablespoons clarified, unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup beef stock or broth
  • 3 tablespoons cognac
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon green peppercorns in brine, drained and slightly crushed

Fancy steak or seasoning. You could

Cut a bottom round off a cows asshole and make it into a steak and I'll cook it and dip it in some A1 all day. You guys can keep the freshly grounded imported Portugal pepper and grey poupon. I'll eat my cheap steak, corn, taters, and beer. :fuckyeah:

Not bad. I forgot I also put a tablespoon of unsalted butter after cooking them.

Real steaks only need salt & pepper.

 

Worn out shoe soles need A1.

I guess I'll be the one to say it.

1.Your salt and pepper are the disposable type, the type you would take on a picnic. save that shit for date night, dont bring it to a man's meal.

2. A1? Really? that steak needs to be slow roasted over a campfire lit by Bear Grylls. You shouldn't need A1.

3. Potatoes are good, should have went with fried potatoes out of cast iron skillet.

4. Dinner plate? Wtf is a dinner plate, this is a man's meal, Eat the food out of cast iron skillet (refer to point 3.)

5. Lose the corn holders

6. I don't care what beer you drink with dinner, it should be in a frosty mug to keep it cool on such a warm day.

 

 

 

other than that, looks like a legit meal. :fuckyeah:

I'm noticing the slathering of A1 on said "steak".

If it was done properly, no additional coating of crap should be necessary.

Damnit you beat me to it...

 

The best steaks are the kind that just need to be lightly seasoned with crushed sea salt and chrushed black pepper, nothing more needed. My mom, of all people, could cook the best fucking steak ever using the simplest ingredient. Also, the cut matters alot.

Ok and let's set the record straight, you don't have to be a complete baller to eat good meat, less A1 sauce. Go down to carfagnas meat market, and they have bacon wrapped filet mignon for less than $5, season and cook to med rare, done. No A1 needed. They probably take food stamps for all you broke dicks too.

Carfagnas > *, thats where I got my 110lb hog for a pig roast a few years back. Did it Puerto Rican style so we could eat the skin and it was awesome. Ate nothing but cuban style pork sammiches for a month.
