STEVE-O
Ok I have ridden a little but not a ton and know just enought to get me by in this feild. I am looking at a 2005 polaris predator 500. I dont know hardly anything about these so my questions are? What should you look for on them to make sure they were not completely abused? Are these good? usually you hear honda or yamaha not polaris so I dont know how well or popular these are And in good condition with said 30 hours of ride time on it What do you think is a good price for one? Any input is much appriciated thanks everyone
Browning
I don't know about now but years ago I know Polaris was a reliable quad but slow, meant for power not speed.
Rustlestiltskin
Just get a Honda 400ex or Suzuki z400. There's a reason you don't see many predators on the trails nowadays. Do your homework.

oh8sti
Fast quad, I think it may be a KTM built motor. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though. If it's got low hours and in good shape I'd do it. They are pretty bad.

Nitrousbird
Hours? They put hour meters on these things? My Raptor and my wife's Polaris Trailblazer don't have a hour meter. My wife's Polaris has been good for what it is other than the shitty rear brake design. More reliable than my Raptor for sure.
oh8sti
You're thinking of the outlaw. That's it. Aren't the predators still pretty nasty? I'm assuming it has a speedo on it. If so it should have hours/miles on it.
Berto
Predators are pretty fast, i think they are a 500 cc motor? I've heard they have reliability issues. I could sell my 2003 LTZ400 if you are interested. As said above even if you don't buy mine. LTZ400s and 400EXs are solid.
ross
LTZ400s and 400EXs are solid. LTZ's are bullet proof besides the frame at the front suspension and the water pump impeller...both of which killed mine.
russian rocket
get a banshee and build it up to answer your question about value, roughly 2500-3000
Rustlestiltskin
Most of you guys clearly didn't read his posts. The only and ONLY reason why he was asking about polaris predator 500 was that someone had a trade offer for him and he wanted to know how much he could sell it for if he made the trade. He does not want nor want to go buy a 4wheeler. fuck.

XChris1632X
I guess this would depend on what your are trading for. I would never personally own one. The only Polaris I would ever consider is a razr. But that is just my opinion.

I had some rentals that simply couldn't do it, you would have to back down the hill and start over, it was pretty scary
